Adam’s Last Nursery Day

Today Adam attended his last day at nursery. In September he’ll be going to SCHOOL, or “that place for big kids” as he likes to refer to it.

Even though I tried to explain to him more than once, he still doesn’t quite get the idea that he wont be returning to this same place he’s been going to on daily basis for months and months. That he wont be seeing his teachers, his friends, and this place he got used to. He’s excited about that new place called “school”, but he thinks he’ll be there with the same people, and all his very same friends.

I, on the other hand, get the whole picture, and as happy as I am that my little boy is growing up, and that he’s moving forward, there’s still this little hmm… let’s just call it ‘denial’. Well, no one can say what I mean -and feel-  better than Dr.Seuss I guess:

“how did it get so late so soon?

It’s night before it’s afternoon.

December is here before it’s June.

My goodness how the time has flewn.

How did it get so late so soon?”
