My Birthday!

So today is my Birthday! What do people do on their birthdays? Some party all night long, some eat as much yummy things as possible, some meet up with friends… There’s no limit to what people could do to celebrate such a day.
Personally I’d love to gather with my loved ones, I’d definitely love to get some presents, but I’m totally against making this day a burden. I hate to know people did the impossible to afford a gift I would like, I hate to know people are making up excuses just to avoid showing up on this particular day because they can’t afford a gift!
But I guess birthdays, just like many other social occasions, have become more of a tradition. In our busy lifestyles, we have created certain occasions to remind us of our loved ones, or to remind us of the rights of certain people and so on… So these occasions became part of us, we grew up accustomed to celebrating them, and here we are now, not only celebrating, but even making it a nightmare for others to celebrate with us!
This is not what I love to happen on my birthday. On my birthday I love to think, relax, take a walk in a breathtaking spot, do nothing but enjoy the simple blesses of life…
Every year on my birthday, I can’t help but try to picture my family the day I was born, how was it like! What feelings did my parents have when they first held me?! How did my brother and sister feel when they first saw me? How was it like to watch me grow bit by bit? How did they think I would be in the future? Did they ever see me living away?
Another thing I think of every birthday: my accomplishments! I guess it’s no secret that my career life sucks, not because my job is bad, but because it’s not for me. I need to help people. And although I never stopped looking for a job that fits my preferences, I never found it. My current job might be the dream of many, but not mine, it’s just so not like me, I just need to draw a smile on a person’s face every day… I’m doing my best, but I’d do much better if it was my full time job! As for my social life, it wont get better if I don’t adjust my lifestyle as soon as possible. But I’m working on it. Yep, less TV, healthier food, more moving. And I wont give up till I have the perfect lifestyle I deserve!

I should be thinking of my birthday gifts, frankly I am, lol! I’m thinking because I love to know what people think I would like, what they think would suit my personality, it’s just like seeing yourself in the eyes of others, and I don’t mean their financial value, mean the concept.
I’ll be celebrating with my great husband and in-laws. Couldn’t miss my family more on this day, it’s awkward to celebrate the day I was born without the ones who witnessed my birth… for 3 years in a row…
Anyway, in case you’re wondering how old I am, I’m 18 😀 Oh, I find it really ridiculous to hide one’s age! We all grow old, and we are who we are, pretending to be younger/ older doesn’t change a thing, so I can proudly say I’m 27 years old 🙂
Thank you God for the life you’ve given me, would do my best to become a better person. Thank you my family for everything you’ve done and still doing, I miss you so much, can’t wait to be with you, thank you my in-laws for making me feel at home, and last but not least, thanks to my amazing husband who is always making me happy despite all the pressure he’s under…
(I feel like I’ve just won an Oscar :P)
By the way, here’s what my birth date means, in case you’re interested 🙂

Your Birthdate: May 6
A birthday on the 6th of the month adds a tone of responsibility, helpfulness, and understanding to your natural inclinations.

Those born on the sixth are more apt to be open and honest with everyone, and more caring about family and friends, too.
This is a number associated with responsibility and caring – this birthday lends a degree of concern for others.
