58th Nakba Anniversary

Today marks the 58th anniversary of the Palestinian Nakba (expulsion of Palestinians from their land).
Yes their land, Palestine, which to so many people is just an “imaginary” name for a place that does not exist, populated by unrecognizable people…
Let the world think whatever they like, let them claim there’s no such thing as a Palestine, let them deny the rights of Palestinians, let them enjoy wiping Palestine off the map, let them taste their triumph in making the world believe Palestinians are no victims, they’re nothing but terrorists and heartless beasts, let them insist on kicking anyone with Palestinian blood out of Palestine, let them manipulate and change facts…but they’ll never be able to delete generations of memories, present and future. They’ll never be able to brainwash us, they’ll never be able to take away the pictures we kept in our minds of our families and loved ones there; they can’t simply steal the smell of Palestinian olive trees and citrus farms we used to pass by every day; and they’ll never succeed in killing our longing to the fresh Palestinian breeze that tickles our noses every time the word Palestine is mentioned.

No matter how hard they’d try, Palestine is there, it has always been there, Palestinians are there, they’ll always be and nothing can change that.

      On day, Palestine will recover her dignity and all it’s territory. I pray for it. And I’m sure that this day is comming soon !

      The only truth that could be is the fact that there is no truth .. never say never, never say always, this is my truth ! Sorry ..
      Anyway, I consider that the palestinian “cause” (i know the word in french) is a good one (en français j’aurais dit une cause juste je sais po comment on dit en anglais :D) and every one who is feeling concerned by this should work as hard as his mind tells him ..
      My english is very bad so i hope u got what i mean ..

      No matter how many years have passed nothing will ever change our beliefs.

      Palestine is in our DNA now.
      I have never seen it, but all of images are carved in my head.

      Our grandsons will continue what our grandfathers have started long time ago.

      It’s an oath that we WILL fullfil.

      Hi,
      my dream before dead is to see israeli people kicked off palestine. I don’t know how it can be done. it is just a wish. but we should always hope and so work to reach that.
      to be pragamatic, palestine liberation movement must continue the fight. because I don’t trust in arabic countries (sorry especillay in jordan and egypt)

      It’s so sad that only the arab media has talked about that day. The event was not deeply covered by the european media and in some of them not even mentioned.
      But let me tell you something Eman, you, Sabbah and the others are doing such a good job! Many people ignore the true story of the palestinian people and thanks to your efforts they are getting the other side of the story.
      So keep blogging and keep talking about the palestinian cause.
      Inchallah one day all those who were thrown from their land will come back and enjoy their lifes with their beloved ones.

      And well, I hope one day you’ll see it. It’s a wonderful beautiful land. Even with occupation army filling its streets and the scene of destroyed buildings everywhere, Palestine still has its charming beauty…

      Imperatorking, I understand where your schock in Arab countries comes from, but countries have people, people are good and bad every where in the world, we shouldn’t judge by means other than the people. We must always believe in Arab countries as a unit, that will one day make our dreams in a free Palestine come true.

      Nj, it’s sad but expected, nothing new. The suffering of Palestinian people is does no longer interest many in our time. Recognizing the rights of refugees to go back to their homes is no longer an issue to many… But we’ll always remember that day and remind the bling world of it as well.
      I appreciate your sweet support and thank you for taking the time to read us all.
